Welcome to "The Liturgy of Peace: Reflections on Word and Song," a new weekly blog dedicated to exploring the deep connection between our Sunday worship and our calling as Christians to be agents of peace and reconciliation in the world. While the Word of God directs our minds, we believe that music is a profound agent of change in its own right. It has the unique power to move beyond intellectual understanding to stir the soul, uniting a congregation in a single breath and a shared purpose. A single melody can carry a profound truth of the Gospel past our defenses, planting it deep within our hearts to gently shape our character.
