No. The Choir School of Macon is an element of Walnut Street Music at Christ Church, and we welcome children and youth from all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Feel free to contact us for more information!
Both The Choristers, and the St. Cecilia Choir rehearse Sundays, from 5:30–6:30 PM at Christ Church Macon. A meal is served from 5:00–5:30 PM in The Great Hall. The Choristers will rehearse additional times on weeks with performances. Individual private lesson times are scheduled directly between the parent and lesson instructor.
The Royal School of Church Music curriculum is the system employed in The Choristers. This self-paced graded curriculum outlines achievable goals for structured vocal training. Students learn proper posture, vocal health, music theory, and more!
No. All costs are covered by Christ Church Macon, except for choir camp and certain trips for which financial aid is available.
